SCT Business Forum - 26th Oct
Posted on Tue 27th Oct at 2:41pm
Thank you to all who attended our SCT Business Forum last night. (26th October)
The
topics discussed at the Forum included the current rules that are in
place for local businesses and what the public can expect during the
'Firebreak' lockdown. We also spoke about what financial help is
available from the Welsh Government and the impact the lockdowns have
had on our individual businesses including the knock on effect this may
have had on mental health. We are hoping to be joined at our next Forum
by a representative from MIND Pembrokeshire who can offer help and
support for those struggling wth the current situation.
We have attached the links below to the official information we touched upon at the Forum.
1.
Please find below a link to 'frequently asked questions' about the
current Firebreak lockdown which offers clarity on what restrictions are
currently in place.
2. Please see below a link to information on all available business grants and support.
Welsh Government has announced that the grants will be open to applications from Wednesday 28thOctober
and will close at 5pm on Friday 20th November, 2020, or when the fund
is fully committed. All businesses are urged to apply as soon as
possible.
We
ended the Forum on a 'brighter' note by asking for volunteers to help
when the Christmas lights are due to be put up around the village. The
Harbour staff who have taken on this task in the past will be on
furlough so help is needed to marshal traffic and pass lights to the
cherry picker operator. The work is scheduled to start November 9th and
usually takes 2 weeks to complete so anyone who may be able to offer help over that period, please let us know by replying to this email.
We
will send out the link for the next Forum scheduled for Monday November
9th in due course. If anyone has any questions that we might be able
to help with in the meantime, please do not hesitate to email us.
Best wishes
Dilys Hackett
